This utility is designed to clean files which have been infected by the virus known as "Anxiety.Poppy.III", as identified by VirusScan - a PE infector virus.

Pre - requisites for running Program

This is a DOS command line utility; it is preferable to use it either within an MS DOS window, or in MS-DOS mode.

Installation Instructions

None; it is a single .EXE utility file.

Operating Instructions

Overview

This executable is designed to correct and remove the virus from within PE files. Usage is:

APSCAN.EXE [-S][-C] FILENAME.EXE

-S = SCAN SUBDIRECTORIES
-C = CLEAN INFECTED FILE
(do not use [ ] around option)

The standard output for the remover is when no option is specified on an infected file-

APSCAN.EXE FILENAME.EXE

FILENAME.EXE is infected with ANXIETY.POPPY.III.
