CLRTXT.EXE This DOS program be be used to clear the text portion in a MicroSoft WORD (95/97) or EXCEL (95/97) file. More specifically, all text strings will be replaced by a string of
question marks (?) of the same length and all numberic strings will be replaced by a
string of zeros of the same length. Type the following command:
where Input_File (Output_File) is the path and name for input (output)
file. It's optional to specify the output file. Without it being specified, the input file
will be altered and the original file can't be recovered
If the output file is not specified, the input file will be altered.
In the package you downloaded you will find two executables. Both are
identical by functionality, however ClrTxt32.EXE can only be run in the 32-bit environment
while ClrTxt16.EXE , although slower, can be run in both the 16-bit environment and the
32-bit environment. |
