General issues

The following general known issues may be found within either Email and Web Security Appliances or ePolicy Orchestrator:

  • Issue Description. You may be able to access the Email and Web Security tab from within ePolicy Orchestrator, even if you do not have the relevant permissions to do so. BZ 448397

Issues within Email and Web Security Appliances

The following issues are found within the Email and Web Security codebase:

  • Issue Description. In some language, the configuration of the dates may display differently between Email and Web Security Appliances and ePolicy Orchestrator. BZ 444466
  • Issue Description. Currently, you cannot forward or delete selected deferred messages. BZ 449095

Issues within ePolicy Orchestrator

The following issues are found within ePolicy Orchestrator:

  • Issue Description. Occasionally, if multiple Email and Web Security Appliances are connected to ePolicy Orchestrator, the information relating to one or more of the appliances may appear to freeze within ePolicy Orchestrator. BZ 428686
  • Issue Description. Occasionally, the McAfee Agent may stop responding, and then be restarted. BZ 437454
  • Issue Description. When adding patches to ePolicy Orchestrator, services some times have to be restarted before Email and Web Security Appliances can be enabled. BZ 429457
  • Issue Description. If the network is running slowly, it may be possible for events to be incorrectly counted. This may lead to a difference between the reports generated by Email and Web Security Appliances and the reports generated from ePolicy Orchestrator. BZ 443506
  • Issue Description. Currently, you cannot update the DAT and engine files from the http repository specified by ePolicy Orchestrator. Updates from ftp do work as expected. BZ 449583
